Far be it from me to suggest how to spend your money. I dropped tens of thousands of dollars chasing rare JDM parts for a 90 Integra and a 99 Prelude so I get your desire to do something unique.
Thanks for the ideas, ya there's other reasons Im doing this besides marker lights. My front bumper cover is cracked up and I have a few spare body pieces sitting in the garage. I dont have extra fenders, and cant bring myself to buy and paint aftermarket stockers for no reason other than to have an extra set in case of a wreck. Carbon fiber ones are a little to pricey for my budget.
If I can find some that are a lil different and appeal to me, can put these on the car and keep the factory painted ones in case I get in a front end wreck. Would save some headache on a rebuild if I already have parts ready to go.
I also really like the increased visibility when changing lanes or turning, also may be changing to an LED front turn signal kit which would remove the OEM housing reflectors, I like the clean stock look on my car, having a perfect template to measure future fenders for drilling side marker holes in the stock locations... a little OCD... I also found some really neat LED side marker lights from Australia, etc.
