Hi everyone
Hoping to get some assistance with our Sonic. 2015 with 130k miles. At first I had lost my brake assist my pedal was super hard to slow vehicle down and it’ll pull to the right. I checked calipers and replaced my front right caliper due to the piston was stuck. Also I had replaced my vacuum pump and hose. The hose that goes to the pump brake chamber and back of the engine. The car was perfect for 24hrs then on the highway the car felt like it would struggle, not applying the brakes the car would slow itself down. Took it home and began searching couldn’t find anything to relate so posting now. When the car sits overnight the brakes are fine but maybe 15-20 min highway run brakes will lock up. What’s locking up is my rear drums. Just by the touch it’s left rear, comparing to the right. The left rear will burn your finger. I was assuming it was my wheel cylinder but I haven’t lost any fluid.
I am going to pull the drum off and inspect hardware, cylinder and shoes. If it’s ok what should I look into?
