I use 1/8" RC fuel line. It is very flexible and sticks to t,s and such like glue.
Ive had no negative effects. Just make sure you do it right. If you have any questions you got this forum.

Hell yeah! More free mods! Just did it on mine. Roads are still bad but it seems to help out the bottom end a little bit. Maybe it's just placebo effect or me driving it harder. Definitely sounds like it's releasing boost quicker. I ran a whole new line instead of splicing

Yeah the main benefit of this mod is throttle response
Releasing boost faster helps by allowing all pressure to be released to prevent any chance of turbine back spin or slow down.

Finally was warm enough to do this today. I'll tell you what, fat fingered people should just tilt or take off the intake manifold. Most of my time was spent fighting the tight spaces with my sausage fingers. lol
I'm guessing I did it right because I didn't throw a code and I still have power?

You don't NEED a tune to do this; it can be done with a stock tune.

I'm thinking that this is not a direct cause of the mod, but I'm getting oil in my boost lines now. I'm thinking that this is a cause of something else but after doing this mod, I'm now allowing the oil to get into the line.
A subfailure of the oil in the lines, is that I can't build boost higher than the wastegate spring pressure when the engine is cold. Then the ECU will sense a failure and if it does this before the oil is warm enough to move in the lines, when the ECU records the code it will prevent any boost higher than the wastegate spring pressure.
I believe that once I get rid of the cause of the oil, I will be back to normal.

Did this to my automatic sonic. Throttle response is improved, and the changes in boost are much quicker and smoother.
Great mod, and easy to do. I would compare this mod to porting the intake manifold. While porting the intake manifold will create much more overall power and gains, the easy degree of difficulty and gains from this mod put it right up there in my opinion.

So I know this thread has kinda died out but I'm curious on how this would work in junction with the ddm block off plate....the bov line has already been plugged when I put the block off plate in so would I just remove the lines from the solenoid and plug the fittings and call it a day?

That makes sense but I actually ran a separate vac. Line straight off the intake manifold to the bov...so did I without knowing actually bypass the bypass?
