^^^^ wow i didn't think you would go actually measure it. lol At least this is the only way to find out. I believe the hatch is more heavier because it might have more metal and thicker due to in case of a rear end hit say like a Dodge Ram. lol

I got 1120 on the hatch. It was a tricky measure. I did my best estimate the area of glass that doesn't overlap the metal and subtracted that from the total area of the hatch. There doesn't seem to be extra impact support. I'll even round my estimate up to 1240 sq. in. to not sound bias to the hatch.

So, same weight savings for both, or pretty close.
Because math!

Also there is less steel to a sedan since its not a part of the structural integrity like the hatch on the hatchback

Now that you have the CF hood, watch how service staff respond to it. The best response I got was at Best Buy where the BassStation was installed: one of the techs must have opened and closed it half a dozen times. Or more.

Did you install the stock hood insulation onto your Seibon? I did not for the first 2 weeks and I could noticeably hear more engine noise through the hood. I finally cut-out the appropriate area of the insulation to expose the vents and reinstalled it. Big improvement on noise levels.

No. Thought about it but did not. And since then I have never thought about doing that. I am one of those people who at times will drive w/o the radio playing.

Although my Sonic is less quiet than when I drove it off the dealers lot, I still feel it is too quiet.

I seen something really similar here in Toronto about a month ago and took pics of it and i even laughed at the guys driving it. Stupid thing to do in my opinion but to each there own. lol

Looks good. I used some duck tape to make a hat for the ecu next to the battery. Don't know if needed but better safe than sorry.
