Hopefully not . I sent bnr an email last weekend asking the cost to convert my budget tune to stock while cc is off....... and power while cc is on. Still waiting to here back.....if it is the same cost as upgrading to full tune then i may go that route with stock though not eco

I have not heard back. I emailed them once before on another topic and I heard back a week or two later. This time, no response.

Yep...wish I would have went that route for warranty issue time.....Other than that though, I drive in power mode 100% of the time....and still love it.

What octane are you using? Now that I have a handle on the gas types, I find that the throttle and auto-shifting is more sensitive with 93 octane than with 87. 87 octane seems to take a tiny bit of power away but smooth everthing out though.

MPG on the UG is reading pretty much the same as before, like Preloader I do not believe this to be accurate, but if it is......

I agree. The ECU is calculating usage on injector pulsewidth. It doesn't know your injectors are flowing probably 20% given all others variables are the same.

Am also interested to know what your real world (gallons into miles) economy is now that you upgraded. I have an E85 capable Dodge Dakota now. I get about 16 to 18mpg mixed on regular unleaded or about 9-12 mpg mixed on E85. That's a huge drop....

I just finished reading an article on Grassroots Motorsports Magazine also. They tested about 6 different fuels; 89 octane E10, 93 octane E10, 91 octane with no alchohol, methanol and E85. Or some similar mixture. All on the same car, same time and weather and on a dyno. They would swap fuel, flush the lines and return for the new fuel. The car consumed about 65% more E85 than regular unleaded under peak load.

I've been running E85 consistently for quite a few tanks now, and am seeing as low as 23 to as high as 28 mpg in combination driving where experience suggests I would have seen 33 to 38 on 93 octane E10. Under ideal conditions I saw as 44 on a tank of 93, I haven't driven in those circumstances since switching.

I'm paying more per mile to run 93, but not That much more as the per gallon is lower. I will likely run 93 on long drives because it's easier to find and longer between fill ujps, but more power whenever I want it is worth paying a little extra per mile.
