Maybe after reading this forum a bit more, I will be more inclined to make some modifications
We would never do anything like that to our cars around here, nor would we encourage others to.

Take a gander at the many discussions about warranty and modifications, you'll probably figure out soon enough which ones you are comfortable with, and which you aren't.
For instance: an air intake is a modification that is easy to put back to stock should you have a dealer that frowns on them, even though many don't. Exhaust is a little tougher, yet only voids that specific part of your warranty. Suspension work will put more parts at risk of not being covered, but still, only the parts associated with the modification.
Everyone here will tell you tune, tune, tune. It's an amazing modification, yet it is a risk. You'll have to read the Trifecta posts and make that choice for yourself.
This is my first warrantied car as well, I chose to risk having the tune, but opted against installing an atmospheric BOV which would REQUIRE the tune to run correctly. Any modification that will be a pointing finger at my tune I'm holding out on. It's all in how much risk you want to take, and there are varying degrees and MUCH wisdom to be found on all of them here.
Oh, welcome!!
