2014 RS 6MT w/everything except advanced safety package. Current mods are ZZP straight piped cat-back, modded stock airbox w/K&N drop in filter, rebel auto works black powdercoated aluminum charge pipes, DDMWorks red coil-pack cover, eibach lowering springs, DDMWorks wheel spacers, and weather-tech window deflectors.

Mods to come are coilovers, DDMWorks red powdercoated intake, better tires, ZZP midpipe, DDMWorks hook slot front rotors, an actual full short shifter kit whenever its released, ZZP intercooler, and a tune.

Car replaced a moderately modified 06 cobalt ss

Just got used 13 Sonic RS / Turbo with 6 spd manual. Cyber Grey Metallic. Sunroof, leather (heated seats), MyLink touch screen, grey rims and a hatchback... year old with 4k miles on it. Loving driving it. Replaced 2006 Chevy Impala LT.

Anyone try that Bringgo app for the NAV? It took up too much space on my phone...

New '14 RS Hatchback Auto

Just bought a new 2014 Sonic RS Hatchback. Auto and sunroof. Ashen Gray.

No mods planned yet. Been a Honda guy. Was preparing to purchase 2015 Fit as soon as inventory allowed prices to start coming down from MSRP. Stumbled on a pretty good deal on the Sonic. Test drove it, was pretty impressed. In my garage 2 hours later. Still learning about the Sonic. A little concerned about reliability compared to multiple Hondas with 200,000+ and almost no issues.

Looks like there are some fun and inexpensive mods to make.

Not being too performance oriented, I would love to see a boost in MPG. What is everyone's suggestion for a good first mod to add a few more MPG. I'll be driving mainly highway miles and happy to cruise at 60mph.

I got my 2013 cyber grey rs manual about a little over a month ago. Love it. Currently stock besides the rear sonic badge delete eventually deleting the turbo badge painting all the chrome trim, zzp catback exhaust, ddm intake, lowering springs, tune, tint, and rims. Only rs I've seen in central ny

2014 RS Auto

Hi RS gang. I just bought a new 2014 RS auto Black Granite. Lot of fun to drive. My plans are Tint, Tune, and Tunes.
Not sure yet what Engine tune to go with. Not trying to mod the car too much...yet. I thought about the CAI + Tune, but not sure of the gains compared to Tune alone and stock setup.
Plan on Subwoofer in trunk area where the Spare is..."who needs a spare anyway?" Not sure if its east to tie into the stock head unit for low level audio etc. Not trying to blow my head off with super high wattage either.
Any suggestions?

i don't know crap about car audio so i couldn't tell you lol all my cars have always just kept the factory radio and speakers or had them ripped out for weight reduction xD

I received an official answer to the CAI+Tune vs Stock + tune. The power difference is nil, but throttle response is better. I will be getting the stock tune from Trifecta.

You can also modify the stock air box. That was my first engine mod. I also put a K&N drop in filter.

Great Idea...I was thinking of this, but I tested intake air temps with CAI, and stock setup and the difference was drastic. Not sure that makes a difference in a turbo with the intercooler. I ordered the Trifecta tune and am now waiting for it with anticipation .

You can also leave the stock box alone but remove the snorkel in the right fender well. You won't get the turbo sound but you'll have cooler air coming in.
