Would it be creepy if I left a note on a red RS hatch that's always in my university parking garage? I'd like to let them know about the forum. Maybe just a simple "Visit sonicownersforum.com" on a notecard under their wiper?

I can't believe you guys don't have site cards. Almost every car I have owned since 2002 has had a forum and site cards. Basically a business card you can print out with the backside blank so you can put your member I'd on it or phone number. Front generally tells about the forum etc.

You could even make up something in word that has something like:
"You drive a Sonic! Cool! Visit Chevy Sonic Owners Forum - A discussion forum for everything Chevy Sonic to interact with other Sonic owners"
I think there are also companies that print free cheap business cards.

Doesnt vista print do like a handful for free for first timers? If so. One of the mods or owners can design a card and we can all use the template and get a bunch of freebies.... Or we can all design our own cards and have it be a personal touch to each area we are in. Obviously all of us would be professional about it but i know someone will shoot off likr a hundred free to try...ill have to look into it as well.

That's also another option. I've been thinking about doing that for my Facebook group. But I'd also want to list this forum cause nothing replaces a forum yanno.

Well i think the biggest thing is keeping everyone under the same umbrella in this forum. we have a wealth of information here and everyone here shares the same love for the sonic. Getting into facebook or other medias will invite more people of different cars and what not which will result in useless banter. (most of the time) it would be like us getting on a honda forum. or going to cruzetalk and being all like "hey whats up. we got some parts that we share so lemme bug you" i think in my own opinion, all the sonic drivers,modders,enthusiasts, whatever we may be should all stick together here and go from there
and im sure theres tons of people who have sonics and literally just dont know we exist.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one. I've seen what a fb community can bring to a forum table. Facebook is just easier when mobile and isn't meant to take away from a forum at all. If anything it will bring people to a forum. Facebook is for those quick hey look what came in the mail look what happened today those bs post that aren't needed in a forum atmosphere. That's just my opinion. It will bring people that have never even used a forum to one. It will make them aware of a community and resource.

This man speaks the truth. Both can compliment each other, im a member on another forum that does the fb thing and it doesn't take away from the forum at all.

If an owner or Mod wants me to modify this somehow, and give it their blessing, I will give you the page in Word format. Then you could share the file and let people print it themselves.
I did this in word, with an Avery template. Anyone can get a pack of 250 Cards for $10.00 - $15.00 at almost any stationary store and print cards themselves Cheap.
It's just my initial thought of what I see as something simple. I didn't want to load it with stuff talking about everything the site offers. I figured a simple picture, similar to on the site, so it looks familiar when they show up.
I Do think it should say something more friendly than "Come Join". Maybe;

I've used VistaPrint in the past, they have great prices initially, but be careful of all the up-selling.
I made the above card in a Word 2007 Avery Template for;
Avery 8371 - Ivory - Matte (Only because I had some)
Avery 8869 - White - Matte (#08869 at some stores)
It looks OK on the Ivory, but I think it would look better in White.
NOTE: I'd share the templates I made, but I think we should hear from the OWNER to get the OK to produce cards referring to THEIR Site.... Courtesy, Copyrights, etc....
Although I can't see how free advertising by a card like these would hurt....

I think their should be a contest and vote for the best design unless the owner has a design in mind.
