DDMWorks Intake slower?

So I installed a DDMWorks intake to my 2014 Sonic with the 1.4 Turbo. I got it fully installed, car seemed fine, maybe a little slower, but I assumed it needed time to simply tune itself. It's been about 400 miles since it was installed and it seems as if the Sonic is actually slower than it was with the stock airbox. Any ideas why this may be?

Are you on the factory program still? If you you will still only produce stock power levels since the program is designed to only deliver a set maximum amount of torque. It will also depend on what filter you have. Some filters will not work so well with stock MAF settings. This could cause fuel trim issues.

Yes. Exactly. The car will not improve without a tune... but the sound from the intake is pretty cool.

I realize it's not supposed to rise stock power, however, it feels as if it's actually slower since I put the intake on.

One thing I do want to note is I do NOT have a heat shield. Maybe more heat in the engine bay is what's causing the feeling of less power?
