I disagree. You can ECM tune that Focus all you want, it's still gonna be slower.

Not a true brake-stand I guess. I can get my tires to roll over a little bit doing it and it will unleash glory upon releasing the brake. It certainly isn't good for the front pads to keep the brake held. Using the e-brake is a better option; rather, it's the only good option.
Just to reiterate as a warning to those who may try: Neutral dropping is never an option as we have no clutch to protect us. All that force will go straight to the differential and if it can take it the axles may not be able to handle the instantaneous force.

Should've probably been caught before they even started the engine. You can usually tell when a trans shifts properly though the gears while stopped with the clutch disengaged. I'd think anyway?

As a former dealer tech, it irritates me to no end when they don't check the work before turning the car over to the customer.

I wasnt in the isle when it came back in. My guess is that I have some new hot spots on my flywheel and pressure plate. I did notice the clutch was not as smooth as it used to be on engagement today.
Not exactly pleased. My thought is that if you are a porter at a dealer, you should know how to drive a manual transmission. Based on the sound when they pulled out the first time, I lost a few thousand miles of life on the clutch.
