Why are drivers so dumb?

It's dark out, where your dark colored car w/oany lights on can't really be seen well at all. I'm directly behind you and I'm switching my lights on and off in succession, do you not understand what I'm trying to tell you???

I'm not flashing them brights like a maniac, I'm not riding your ass, either. I'm just behind you going off/on/off/on/off/on with my lights (not brights, main lights).

How hard is it to check your lights if someone's flashing at you? It's logical, no? I did that once many years ago when pulling out of a gas station onto a brightly lit road in the city. Someone flashed me and first thing I checked was the lights - whether my brights were on. They weren't but neither were my main lights.

It's not hard, people. Stop staring at your phones.

Going to be switching Jack the Lab to a raw diet today.

I've been reading about it and thinking of it for a few weeks now and I've decided that it's certainly the right way to go.

I'll need to find a bulk supplier of meat, poultry and fish in the area. Currently he's on a high quality commercial food, so I don't think I'll see an increase in cost. I spend $100 a month on his food currently and I'm pretty sure I can stay at that cost or lower.

It's a little more involving to feed raw, but the benefits are huge.

We got a food dehydrator from the wedding and have been making our dog dried sweet potato and he loves it plus no junk in it and is WAAAAY cheaper than purchasing treats. I have also seen many recipes to make other dog treats with the dehydrator so we will be trying those soon as well. Plus you can also make beef jerky for yourself

Homemade beef jerky with a dehydrator is easy, delicious and very inexpensive. Plus the salt preserves it nicely. You can dry a whole pound and store it in a jar and it'll last longer than a month easily. It made me wonder why they charge so much for it when it's pre-packaged.

PROTIP: if you put the steak in the freezer for about an hour before you slice it, you can cut into very uniform, thin slices, because of the half-frozen firmness.

Might seem like a dumb question but, I don't like any spices or seasoning other than black pepper and salt. Love salt, to the point it's just bad.


Question is, I can't eat normal beef jerky. Can I make beef jerky with nothing more than black pepper and salt?

If it's anything like dehydrated icecream, only beef, that sounds awesome.

I am a SALT FIEND!!!! Have about 7 different kinds of salt at home and I've even been known to just grab a pinch of it and eat it like candy, lol.

As far as just a straight salt & pepper recipe for the jerky I found a bunch that mainly use just those ingredients but they all require soy or worcestershire as well or another seasoning.

7 kinds of salt isn't even that many, check out this link they have so many kinds your head will spin. Most are finishing salts so you wouldn't necessarily cook with them but more use as a flavor enhancer.

I have an old pepper mill that I filled with all 7 kinds and use it on popcorn and it is amazing!!

When I make jerky I soak it in Worcester sauce overnight first. Then I pat it off with paper towel and dust it with salt and pepper.

3 to 1 salt/ pepper ratio. No other seasonings. For those that require spicy jerky, you can mix in a hefty serving of sriracha with the worcester.
