OK, so I've had the car for a year now and haven't had time to work on it. I was working out of state and flying home every two weeks. I bought the car out of state and only drove it home once in that year and didn't have a garage at my work apartment. So... Now that the job is over, I have some time to work on the sound system. Here is what I got to install over the next week or two:
Infinity Kappa 60.11cs component speakers for front
Infinity Kappa 62.11i coaxial speakers for rear
JL Audio CS110LG-TW3 subwoofer
Alpine PDR-V75 75Wx4 + 350Wx1 amplifier
lots and lots of Dynamat
I've had several bulk packs of Dynamat sitting for about 10 years now from my Impala SS (and later my GMC Sonoma ZQ8) projects and have plenty.
The JL Audio sub box will fit below the false floor in the hatch - I tested it. It is maybe 1/8" too tall, so I plan on either leaving it as is since any weight on the false floor seems to simply push it down, or possibly remove the grille as it will be protected by the false floor, or perhaps dent the grill slightly as it is really taller than the Xmax of the woofer by a fair margin.
I plan on trying to make a rack or having one made for the amp to sit right next to the woofer in the trunk.
All of the wires will be long enough that I can take the sub box and amp rack out or put them up on the back seat in case I need to get at the spare tire.
Thanks for the input (Hulty and Soundwave, to name a few) for Dynamat and speaker install pictures. I plan on sacrificing the stock speakers and use the mounts to mount my components up front since the magnets are so large. Without this, the window will hit them.
