Reviving thread.
I haven't worked out since the day I got married over a year ago. I started back up about 3 weeks ago. I weighed 210. I plan to get down to 200, and then go into a winter muscle mass program.
Simple ass approach to losing weight. Eat 4-5 meals a day, but make every calorie count..... I buy 3 bags of frozen chicken breast tenders and cook them for the week. I stock up on whole wheat bread, english muffins (must say 100% whole wheat).
An 8oz chicken sandwich (no mayo, unless you think this is a joke and don't actually really want to lose weight) on whole wheat bun. It's about 400-450 calories of high nutrient dense protein and fiber.
Those become my meal 2 or 3 times a day. Oatmeal and a protein shake for breakfast, and something a little more exciting for dinner.
No chips, no soda, no ice cream or any empty calorie sweets. when I get the munchies and have to eat, I'll eat as much carrots, or salad as I want.
You have to learn how to make depriving yourself fun. If you can't handle it, then you actually don't really care about getting healthy. It's that simple. I get sick of people wasting more energy on talking about how they need to lose weight. If they spent half that energy on just eating right or exercising, they'd be reaching goals. Running your mouth doesn't burn calories.
