Correction..... GM did it first when they R&D'd the flexfuel into the Cruze and Sonic and then abandoned it before production. (Check your fusebox)

You can do that by adjusting stoic. I'm surprised, however, that a narrowband is able to work with E85. It must since they use them on flexfuel anyway.

Anyone running full E85 have any solid idea of their gas mileage?
(It's been long enough to go through a couple tanks, right?)
Curious, not sure if I'll jump on the E85 package or just the tune.
Though, $600 for E85, $300 for full tune makes a $300 difference and as the sensor doesn't come with it's connector or extra fuel line make me kinda twitchy.
(So $300 for 4 Bosch injectors and an $80 sensor)
I'm on the fence, but more so than I would be if they weren't on sale.
It's ~$1 cheaper for E85 than than 91, and power benefits are obvious, but I'll have no other mods so the MPG is the biggest factor.
(~20% cheaper so if it's 6mpg or less lower it's worth it)

I've been through about 5 tanks of straight e85.
Mostly highway miles, I calculated my mileage each time I filled up. It's consistently been 26 mpg. I have not yet data-logged and dialed in, and I am imagining it could improve. The e85 tune has not had extensive range testing for all the different mods available, and just listing them in an email is a crude way for them to guess the fuel needs.
Keep in mind that I have ported my intake and have an SRI. So stock results may vary. I intend to do the composition sensor install soon and run 91 octane 95% of the year and fuel up on e85 for track days or fun weekends.
Another way to see it is that I get roughly 120 miles less per tank. A tank cost $10 less. $10 of 91 got me roughly 120 miles. So it balances out financially.
The only factor missing from this review is the MPG I will see on 91 with the bigger injectors. I'll keep you posted.

I'm running radically different mixes every time, and driving under wildly different conditions, so I don't have any really clear answer on MPG. We're also working away at the tune... and starting to suspect that I may have done a bad job installing the injectors or got a bad one or something. So results aren't very conclusive at all.
I did burn through one tank of roughly E79 doing the same sort of driving I did on a tank of 93, and got about 25mpg where I would have expected roughly 35mpg on the 93.
As Preloader says, the price per gallon is much lower on E85, so I'm maybe breaking even, or paying a little more or less per mile. Important thing for me to keep in mind though is that my overall range per tank is lower, and when I go OOF on the display, that the two gallons still in there won't take me as far either.

i know this thread is pretty old, would BNR hook up an E85 tune if you already have the full tune and injectors? they ask $235 on their website to upgrade if your already tuned. i just so happen to have a set of bosch #42 green giant injectors and they look EXACTLY like the ones in preloaders thread.

Geneticly enhanced wheat is VERY bad for u. ( great for farmers like me) its altered to make more wheat with less. But ur body can't handle it. 2 pieces of bread to ur body is the same amount of sugar as a can of pop... and its designed to be "round up" ready ( weed killer) witch can cause a crap load of health problems . If u Dont be leave me look it up .
