Im assuming youre talking about the Chevy Cruze and all the Cruze eco gets over the regular 1.4t is weight reduction, some shutters in the grill (that every eco own that wants performance for their car disables) and that's about it. That's how the eeco gets beater gas milage of corse..... Chevy will not do this as they have probably already tested and the extra equipment (and the fact that the factory 15's weigh what the lighter eco 17's weight) and cost associated with the improvements are not worth the 1 mpg it will gain.
If there isn't an option for you it might be time to look else where. If you're trolling (and that's what I'm leaning towards), enjoy.

Notable yes, could be some tuning difference but that's easily solved by Trifecta. The Sonic weighs hundreds of lbs (100-300+ depending on trim and body) less than the Cruze. I honestly do not think you will get much out of the eco parts and closing off the grill is good for a tiny improvment in highway mileage but also closes off the intercooler increasing the charge temp. I recommend picking up the sonic you like and cut more weight with wheels and some of the carbon parts and then throw the Trifecta tune in, drive it like a grandma and you will get the high city and highway mileage you're looking for.
you, my friend, do not seem to understand marketing. if chevy were to put an eco badge on their low end sonic and spark, that would take away from the eco-prestige of their more expensive models. 40mpg is the magic number for the American market. could they produce a sonic that got 50 mpg and brand it as an eco? probably. but it doesn't make good business sense. you only set the bar as high as necessary in order to ensure that you can raise it again in a couple of years. as noted above, the eco cruze gets lightweight wheels, LRR tires, adjustable grill louvers and other frills. but the 1.4T is the same. I still maintain that the 1.4T sonic is eco for all practical intents and purposes. (relatively) eco-friendly, and certainly economic.

I've pulled 52MPG over a 120 mile trip with my 1.4T MT sedan. How's that for ECO?

Weight savings, the air dam that closes at high speeds, slightly lower ride height (0.4"), low rolling resistance tires, and some other stuff...it's quite different than a regular Cruze, but at the same time it's not really that different.

With the exception of the body welds and what not, you can pretty much do some of the upgrades and get better economy on your sonic...lower your car, get the tune, if you don't care about handling/road grip, get some more economy friendly tires which I think are a waste of money, but for people that want all out economy, I get it. Get lighter wheels.

don't forget that the Cruze Eco has different gear ratios in the manual transmission compared to the non-eco variants.
