Yea but then id need another set of wheels, which could possibly happen, I'm gonna wait til after winter either way though, so by next winter I might have another set of wheels and mine left for snow tires. Idk lol

So if I got Eibach installed. You think it would eventually mess up my shocks? Was thinking that it would be a better idea to wait until shocks come out so I could get springs and shocks at the same time. I've heard that if you install springs on stock shocks it will make them wear down faster. Any truth to this?

Probably not for a long while.

My car has had the B&G lowering springs for about 6K-7K miles now and my shocks are holding up just fine...

I am already at three sets of wheels and tires for my car. 15" stock, 15" steel with snows, and now 17" LTZ with decent tires.

I will probabaly wait till spring to get springs for my car.

What do you need to do the elbach kit at home? A spring compressor/depressor thing? I have a jack and all that.. just wondering if i should just take it to the dealer (no good shops where i am)

I'll be doing this next week so I'll pay attention to what you need. Preloaders already done it and he said a 21mm socket with a handle welded to the side is almost mandatory, this way you can keep the shock from spinning while using another socket to take the nut off the shcok and then pull the spring off. (Frt struts.)

I've done the rears and they aren't bad. Need a 19mm for the wheels, 18mm for the bottom shock moutns. T-10 or maybe T15 (torqs bits) and 10 mm for the for thw wheel wells. And then I think it was a 13 or 15mm for the top shock mounts and same for the nut on the shock, so you can put on the new bump stop and dust cover. You can use a socket for everything except getting the top of the shock off the body. Vise grips and a wrench (I had a wratchet wrench that hung down alil kinda like a socket that made this part easier) are needed to get the top shock mount off the shock body..

When I get the fronts done I'll report back with a more in depth how to

I didn't take the wheel wells off. I took my tin snips and clipped them so I could take the shocks on and off without having to remove anything

I thought about doing something similar. But I had time and beer, so I just took em off. Takes maybe 5 mins to remove and install

I've noticed issues around 127 mph and above. It seems to be darty. You have to really pay attention. Other than that, no.

Damn chris, I was hoping lowering springs would fix that. This car does feel pretty darn loose at speed. Its alright going perfectly straight but it feels like it might try to shake you out if its allowed to turn much at speed

I'm positive that it's the alignment, not the springs that are causing this high speed instability.
the cornering feels great with the springs. so much better than stock. i'm hating winter because i have my 15" wheels back on. the stiffness of the 17" and eibachs is about as good as you'll find in a economy car.
My brother with his 2011 Camaro RS can't shake me going up canyons.

Definitely recommend an alignment after pulling struts out.

I agree with wingman, mine will be aligned afterwards no matter what even if it is for the shop to tell me it's within specs and didn't need anything. It's just a little piece of mind.
