no screws, just clips. i would take the front pieces off the side storage compartments firs before trying to remove the bezel, once you do there are tiny access holes (squarish looking holes) that you can use to leverage the bezel off, just be careful not to screw up the plastic or pull to hard on one side. just took mine off last night looking for the ACC wire going to the head unit. Does anyone know which wire is the ACC wire back in there? So I was about to take off the radio bezel and I was curious, is it all just snap clips or are there some screws?
This is what I see everyone talking about going to instead of changing the HU on the new cars like the Sonic. JBL MS-8 Digital sound processor at Crutchfield.com I am thinking about buying something like this with my tax return.

I agree the JBL MS 8 is good stuff, and though pricey, I am not sure if it is less cost effective than other potential choices. The MS 8 has its own amplifier, and any other choices such as the AudioControl LCQi need additional amplifiers to work. As you can tell, the addition of amplifiers makes the cost go up, but of more concern for me, take up additional space. And the MS 8 allows you to pick up the effect of a subwoofer while not requiring the addition of a subwoofer. I just can not find a dealer near me ( a hundred or so miles would qualify as near me) who is an authorized JBL MS 8 retailer, and between the arthritis which will cause my fingers/hand to lock up and my color blindness which makes it difficult to sort wirew by color, I will need professional intallation to make it work.
The HB Sonic is a small car and I feel I hav to take that into consideration when upgrading audio. Any suggestions to match what the JBL MS 8 can do will be gratefully accepted and carefully considered.

Thanks for the help. I am looking for a clear sound without truncating the bass.
I am looking for local installation, something I have yet to find in my area, with this presumed caveat: local people FEEL they can install the MS 8, but can not get at wholesale to retail to me, and based on the JBL Home Page, if it is not installed by their approved shop there is no warranty.
A system where the subwoofer can be disconnected and removed when space is needed does not work for me because the very times I want the clear sound etc. are the times we am traveling, with all the luggage that implies.
AudioControl has local retail/install servicers, and it looks like that is the direction I am going although on paper the JBL MS 8 exactly meets my desire.

On the LS model, does anyone know if the speaker wires are run into the back doors? Or will I need to run new wires? Currently I do not have speakers back there
This is the pin out for the chevy cruse, I suspect it is the same for the camaro and sonic, I'm still working on confirming the info
I have been on a adventure to find out about the harness needed for the Sonic. The harness from Scoche is GM27SR. I called Scosche and asked if this is the same harness used in the Camaro or Cruze and was told that it is not the same harness. They have different pin sets. I asked the support person when this harness would be available and he spoke with someone in R&D (Research & Development) and they are anticipating a release within the next 30 days.
Here is to hoping that Scoche will have something out within 30 days like they said.
