idk man I like the way it looks haha. I hate the way that the seibon hood has one asymmetrical vent and it's on the side opposite the airbox.

There is a reason for that...

The front of the RS is not the same as the rest of the Sonic line so a front lip that fit the one would not fit the other.

Not sure if you were talking to me Laborsmith... I was talking about removing the center bar in the front bumper cover... Not the lip. Maybe that picture is bad?

One reason for the location of the Seibon vent is if located on the other side some of the water draining off the hood would be directed toward the alternator.

and i will glass onto it. building a wing like that 300$

i can also make a z-spec ish wing or any variation.

THE HOOD.... alright man. if you seriously want the hood. and this is no joke

it will be a pin on hood. you will have to have hood pins to mount the hood
and it would be about 1200$

That may sound insane but that is an unreal amount of work to make that hood.. i can do it. and i plan to do it on my car. but its alot of work

if they are straight and not staggered. i can do that for 200$. send me your cap and ill send you a triple back in about 2-3 weeks depends on my work load...not fiberglass wise but my actually job is kinda busy and slow so work times wll vary

removing the center bar how...like to fiberglass the missing space where the bar used to connect? thats a very small amount of glass and bondo and id need you car here. so i cant really help on that one

.....its cool ill just sneak to the dealer at night and mold some rs front ends... snap the molds off and run away. lol

id need someone with an rs to mold the lip to and then we would have the option for rs.

I'd buy a front difusser if the price was decent. I feel you on cost of one-off parts. Its hard for someone to justify the cost of the mold and labor vs buying a seibon carbon fiber one for $700.

Ive seen many of your build projects and ideas and theyre all top notch. The issue that im having is to justify a truly "fitted "part that is higher quality than a molded part that doesnt actually fit

For a lip design, just account for extra clearances on the sides and have it mount to the bottom front bumper. Push-clips/screws and 3M molding tape should be sufficient for mounting. I like the one you've got pictured in your signature. I've been pondering making my own but my project list long enough.... for now...

Like a lot of others here, I am definitely interested in the fender flares. Any idea if they are a real possibility and a ballpark number on how much they would cost? (I'm not looking to quote or anything... I'm mainly interested in if we are talking more or less than $1000 for a set of 4). Any more info on these would be great! Would love the look of my sonic with a nice widened stance.

Okay. Ill say this. Flares..

Options are gonna be radius or flat.... i can make a concave or convex roll out to the lip or a mean flat side flare. I will whip up some sketches tonight i promise. On a set of 4 flares im gonna say 750 shipped. Thats steep in comparison to the 200 ish stick on or rivet on sets floating around ebay but these can be build however you guys want on a person to person basis.

If were gonna personalize and customize our cars...it should be a personal idea and a custom part.

I will need about 2 to 3 weeks once i get goin. First guy to get a set plan on a month ish. Understand i need a bit of time to perfect the mold and make em right.

I intend to make them with a flat bottom or inner well. So it will be solid. If you are tucking your wheels then i need a bit more info and i can build a set and send templates so upkn arrival you can chop some steel out of your fender and add the flare

This style will retain the finished look but allow for alot more wheel and tire tucked into the fender.

I just reread this post. It is a definite possibility. I can build anything you want. Thats an almost limitless statement. Its a matter of cost to justify the contruction

As far as can i do it. Yes. Most definetly. I will post pictures in this thread in 10hrs or so when im off work with a few rough sketches on flare design.

I can mold the wing but id much rather do a seamless construction on a wing... in other words...pull your wing. Ship it to me. Ill ship it back built however youd like.
