The 1.6 and 1.8 rods and rod pins and rod bearings are the same part numbers as far as hard parts go.
The only way the the stock 1.8 holds the 300hp or close to it is with the cometic low comp head gasket and the arp.

Still looking for the best way to design my turbo manifold I have a couple different ideas drawn up. Most likely will look like a standard mani with the turbo down and I'll either run the DP down behind the drivers front wheel or modify my fender and run it out there. My brother is working on the custom charge piping as well. So it's progressing just taking a little time but that's to be expected with custom fabrication. I'm going to get all my parts done and ready and then spend a weekend putting everything together so by Feb or March with the extra cash flow of income tax I'll finish it off. Still have to decide on which suspension I want and wheel and tire combo as well.

Why dump the exhaust like that if I may ask?
Your best bet with the manifold is to run it as a top mount log using weld els if it's a hybrid turbo due to the space
Well I ran my dump pipe and my down pipe out of the fender on my civic and I loved it it wasn't as popular when I first ran it now amoung the civic seen esp it's very popular but I loved how it sounded and how aggressive it made the car look. And like I said in still undecided on my manifold design so I'm for sure looking for input

The type of person that will turbo the 1.8 will just do it. It'll just happen in a short 2-3 week project. People have been talking about it for 2 years here...... I'm sad to say, those are the type that will never actually do it. Just sharing from experience. This kind of project takes momentum. It won't just fizzle itself together.
These may seem like harsh words, but hopefully someone will find them encouraging. If you are gonna turbo the 1.8, I suggest you dive in head first and consume yourself in focus with it until it's done.

That's why I'm working on getting all my parts together right now I don't want to have to wait on anything I have my turbo, manifold is in the works as we speak next week I'll be making custom ic piping. It's just progressive day to day. Will be done no later than April and that's everything from cosmetic to motor
