Gauge Pod Ideas?

From what i can see theres a mile of room behind the radio trim if you were to run the cable forward. once youre past the deck and into climate controls its striaght to the back of the console into the dash. under the drivers lower panels into port or into engine bay for sensors. cakewalk man. also theres a 5" or so grommet in the top left of the dash that holds the cluster harness and nothing else. a quick chop will get all the wiring thru that you would ever need. ive got 2 runs of 2awg welding cable thru there already and i can run all my extra gauges thru there as well.

im powering everything out of a master harness and distro block under the dash but all sensor wires will utilize that grommet.

battery relocation is easy as all hell too if anyone is interested in that.

ive dropped 2k$ on my sonic in the last week and tore the entire car up and ive been posting it up a bit although no one has asked for any info or really seems to care. my threads getting views but it seems like my work isnt gaining attention as if its been done before although i havent seen anyone here tackle some of the things i have. so if anyone peeps this post check me out. (shameless plug on my own work)

Thanks for the info! I appreciate you willing to get dirty for our benefit. Once I get moved to a new house with a garage and get out from under some debit, I plan to start modding my sonic. Top of the list is a tune and dual Aeroforce guages.

I got glowshift guages and they are beautiful. just my opinion

I made these out of aluminum


Here they are painted. I didn't have the panels snapped back together in these pics.

Oil Pressure Sending Unit Question

Hey, does anyone know if the 1.4L engine has a secondary or auxiliary oil pressure port to connect an oil pressure sending unit to or is the one under the oil filter the only one available?
I want to retain the OEM "idiot light" sending unit and add an oil pressure gauge+sending unit. If possible, I would prefer to use a second oil pressure port instead of running a "T" from the primary oil pressure port to tie in both units.
If there is another oil pressure port, where is it located?

Nice except it actually replaces the upper dash piece, and doesn't sit correctly IMHO to the dash on the back section.

The back section fits fine to the dash on mine. It was a little difficult to get the front to align properly and I don't love the finish, but other than that. It's not bad at all.

I also would agree that is a little pricey for a molded piece.
