I just read this whole thread today. I hate coping peoples looks but what wheels are those? They have me drooling. I was gonna stay stock on my wheels and tires for cheapness.
Also I would like to say, I'd be scared to get a trifecta tune at this point. Lately I've been reading all these "they don't respond" or "they just say it looks fine." Hp tuners is where you tune your own car right? I honestly wouldn't know where to start with that. Id like something similar to what bully dog does to diesel trucks where you have 3 performance stages and then in the last stage you can adjust how much you want to turn up the boost. Or maybe something like trifecta where they can adjust it per your car but you can see the changes via an awesome gauge setup like bully dog/ super chips.

thank you for your build info it is a inspiration to me . today I read the whole thing . as far as the orange not being the greatest color . I will say this I owned a infurno orange sonic for 2 year there was not a day went buy some one would come up to me and talk about my car and that color . Now i own a charcoal metallic sonic RS for 1 year and not one person has come up to me to talk about it . All so I loved that orange

Just read the whole thing and first and for most great work man. I'm curious how do you like the springs I was thinking about it but already like how comfy the car is ( I'm comparing to my 5xx awhp evo) I said I don't want to mod the car at all because I already have a money pit lol and I want to keep comfy daily drivability. Sorry for the long question haha but in your opinion with the spring does the car still ride comfortably?

Got pulled over AGAIN yesterday, I think that brings the total to six now. This time by a trooper, on a residential road even, what the help is he even doing there??? I was VERY surprised that I only got a written warning, troopers almost NEVER give warnings. Apparently Minnesota law enforcement has got the drug war all sewn up and tinting of Windows and head/tail light coverings are the new scourge of the roadways.

That's discouraging... I know obviously I am in a different state, but I would love to tint my taillights... just don't want to have this same issue with the cops here.
Also, in regards to the trooper... were you in a small town? I know my town is small enough that we are patrolled by troopers since we don't have our own police department.

I got pulled over last week for my window tint, which was surprising to me as well. In this area its not usually a primary offense and only tack it on if you are doing something wrong, which i was not. No warning for me gave me $110 ticket and i did have clean record. I think he was having a bad day or something. So now im going to try to get a waiver this week *fingers cross*

I'm in a rural area a half hour from the cities, but we have local, county, and stateys that wander my town, but not one PIG ROAST in the seven years I've lived here!!
**PROUD DAD MOMENT** Two days ago I asked my ten year old if he wanted to go for a little cruise in town, do some errands, and more importantly do some sunny day bumping in the Sonic....he said yes after I sweetened the deal by saying he could sit in front. An hour later, coming outta McDonald's where one of our county's finest was in the drive thru, the boy says "Dad, I think I will sit in back, PoPo is right there..."

Took the Sonic out for its first "public" showing yesterday at the MN Cars and Coffee event. I thought I represented well and even let rip a quality 6-7 second burn out when it was my turn in the exiting procession which surprised and thrilled my family in the car and onlookers alike. Hopefully have some pics of the event soon, but if you want to see what past events have been like just check out this link under Events, I'm hoping I'll at least be pictured when the Sept. recap is posted!

I would love to take my sonic to shows, but working on the weekends (especially every Saturday) makes this difficult. Glad to hear you were able to represent! Looking forward to the recapopcorn:

Highly recommended every car lover to check that link I posted. The event is hosted at a gated community of luxury "car condos" that would make any car nut drool! We got some private tours of some amazing man caves and can't wait to go back next month, weather depending. FYI, the units in this development range from $40k for the standard one stall with hydraulic lift to $500k for the big monsters with second story loft space, and this is just for bare space, I can't imagine the cost of building them to suit once purchased.
