I use PdaNet+ to tether, no charge expected from Verizon for that. If they do I'll have to go for plan 'C'.

Comcast internet right now for $19.95 for 6 months, clocking at 3.5 mps only, can't stream movies.

Contract set to expire this saturday, then I can re-negotiate a new contract, but right now they would be charging me $64.95/mo for 20 mps, add in the outrageous taxes and it's expensive.

I got Verizon unlimited data/voice for iPhone 5, that bill is about $120/mo. 2 phones.
In my area I don't think there are too many other choices for ISPs.

I dunno, it really bothers me that I have to pay $2,400 a year just for this stuff.

im a gamer i needs my Internets ;-( Im rolling Comcast(which can suck a nut) net+phone and its running me about $75 a month and then Direct TV which is running me 120 :-( I need my HD programming or else it was a waste of $ for my flat panel TVs I have hanging on the walls. Circle Jerk racing never looked so damn good! I couldn't imagine trying to use my phone as a hot spot, I have people attached to the net like white on rice i would have dial up status from the early 90's at that rate....

Verizon Fios is $99.99 a month, TV, internet, and phone.
1200 channels, and 60mbps internet.
Kinda hard to beat B)

My Direct TV was getting to high so I switched to Dish for 2 years. Cut my bill in half for the 1st year, plus I got an updated DVR (Hopper) with some sweet features! If your not under a contract, the switch is very painless. If you just tell Direct TV you are thinking about switching, they will lower your bill.

DirecTv and Internet (ATT) about $90 a month for me.

Had cable, hated the service and lack of HD channels. Didnt like Dish with their lack of sports programming. So we have had DirecTv for a couple years now and couldnt be happier.

DirecTv gets me HD NBATV, NFL Network, MLB Network, NHL Network, Big Ten Network, NBC Sports Channel, CBS Sports Channel, ESPN 1/2/News/U, Tennis Channel, and Golf Channel, plus FS Wisconsin for Bucks and Brewer games. As a huge sports nerd I'm happy with that.

Verizon updated my phone (Jelly Bean for Android), and now blocks wireless hotspot.

Now I must tether my PC to my phone using a USB cable. Still works great, just a little more of a pain in the buttox.

To get other devices internet access I turned my wireless router back on and connect my PC to it. I had to also had to set my PC to share the internet connection from my phone. Now to allow other devices to use my PC's internet connection through my phone, I connect to the wireless network and use my PC's IP address as the default gateway and DNS server. Seems to work good so far.

Got a software update from the PdaNet+ Andriod application and now wireless hotspot works again with Jelly Bean.
