Ehh found out my ac is going bad because my intercooler is rubbing up against the condenser
I think gm is still going to warranty this but they told me I need to take it back to the guys who put on the intercooler and have them secure it away from the condenser It's a sad day for me and my sonic

Wonder if its poor design or a poor install?

I'm not sure. I've liked all of the parts I've had installed on the car and I don't regret any of them.

I definitely don't have the midas touch. I touch one thing in the car and another thing goes bad. Then I fix that thing for something else to go wrong. Is this how the car hobby goes? Lol

No, thats just what i have, dumb bad luck lol. it just happens. if it aint one thing its another kind of thing. Im sure the guys can get your intercooler all fixed up and secured better so it dont rub against the a/c unit. I would hate to see you have to take that out esp after seeing how nice it makes that car run! again, very nice ride karen. sorry to hear its given you some greef. it was definetly the talk of the meet.

I guess what I said sounded snotty lol! I mean I hope it's something with the install, not with the part. As I remember, you're one of the first and few who run this, so you'll be the one to give heads up if there's a design issue or specific installation needs.

Yes I have bad luck hopefully it turns around. On a good note the sonic gave out after the meet in Strongsville lol. It ran great and no problems. I'm old fashion and I want to believe in the craftsmanship and quality of people. My bf is mad and doesn't even want to go to the same racing company that did the first install but I haven't given up hope yet. I'm sure if it was a mistake on their install they will fix it and probably free of charge. If it ends of being quality, sad face but I will keep going. Buy the same part over again or a brand new one we will see. Thanks TheFallen and Insanika wish my sonic luck!

My AC is up and working again! They put foam between the condenser and intercooler to prevent future rubbing.
I am still taking my car to Big3Racing so they can check everything out on their end. Hopefully this doesn't happen
again because the service guy said this was an $800 install that he probably could not warranty again. Yikes!

Glad you were able to get that resolved. and that probably wouldnt hurt to have the other guys check things out too if there willing to make sure all is still good. But yikes $800 for some foam inserted and a condensor?! They sure dont make stuff at a low cost anymore. Continue to have fun with your RS!

I am definitely in better spirts now I was depressed earlier.
My sonic is at a point where I am happy performance wise
so I would be sad if I had to change something.

Chevy dealership got me in right away. They ordered a part then fixed the ac within a couple of hours. Because of work I have to wait to go back to Big3 until Friday. I'm probably leaving them the car for a few days. I'm in no rush. I'd rather everything get put back together correctly.

No good ones I want to remove my lower grill so it is very visible.

I have been looking at brakes and brake kits. I've only seen two offered for the sonic. Brembo and something else way cheaper. Why oh why are brembo brakes $2,800? Lol I don't know anything about brakes. Someone mentions master cylinder and I am scratching my head.

the brembo brakes are awesome.. but do you need them.. unless your doing racing I wouldn't think so..

I would be all over them if i had the funds..

zzp has a brake kit.. I am waiting for ddms brake kit to come out personally.. last i heard they are using wilwood calipers whey are also just as good as brembo from what i hear..

Yeah I saw the zzp kit. I don't want a brake kit for
performance I just want one for shiny, painted calipers
and slotted rotors lol. If they weigh less than stock and
help me stop faster than that is just a bonus lol. I've never
heard of wilwood. Maybe I'll do some research on them next.

Ha almost got arrested last night. No I got pulled over and asked why don't I have a front license plate. I smiled big and said yes I do, want to see it He got out and was impressed. He then got back into his cruiser and started to google where he could purchase one. Said he needs one for his new Acura. Man I got lucky
