That makes me feel better. Just hard to find a middle ground. Feel like this is my half midlife crisis lol. Turning 25, planning a wedding, and maybe kids someday. I don't want to give up that part of me, cars and my RS. They give me great joy.

Don't stress yourself out over stupid stuff. When I was a kid, my dad wasn't driving practical cars or trucks. He drove a Bronco and a Cuda. Don't give up your passion for anyone. You'll just regret it later in life. Then be miserable and take it out on other people. Trust me. I've seen it. Lol

I know exactly how u feel. I want to mod like crazy but know I have a wife and kid. I can't just pull all the seats outs and put racing seats and a fuel cell.

I can mod more like crazy and I have already I guess I'm just fighting what society says I should be doing. I am an adult and I feel like an adult but I just want a fun car I love. Is that too much to ask? Ahhaha. I think especially for woman it is a struggle. If I am married and have children and going into my late 20s early 30s should I be driving a loud sonic with carbon fiber or an suv/mini van type vehicle.

The fi and I have drastically cut down. He used to have a lot of cars in storage but it was so impractical. He sold most of them because he never got them out to drive. He is down to two vehicles and wants to sell those as well for a brand new auto audi. A car that we can both drive and that we can use now and in the future. I don't know for sure what I want to do or what makes the most sense but I am leaning more towards keeping the sonic for now and modding it more. My RS and mods make me very happy and I want to continue for now.

Automatic?! Yuk. Lol I'm never getting another. Unless it is on a truck or SUV. It would make more sense for him to keep one he loves, then get a truck for the both of you and the future.

Ahaha automatic for me :blankface: But it is his choice, he has been dying for a new Audi. He has a stage 3 2001 Audi S4. I got a new car and we both agreed after buying the ring, he would get a new car next.

Audi's are really nice cars but I agree trucks are perfect family vehicles. When my wife got her encore she refused to look at the trucks. When my sonic was in the shop I got a 4d short bed as a loaner and she regrets buying the encore. The car seat fits without moving the front seat and 3 people can sit in the back comfortably. Plus storage.

I have never driven a truck before only cars and suvs. And fi does not like big vehicles. If I got an suv I think I would be the primary driver of it. There are definitely times when I wish we had a truck though just to haul stuff in. We recently bought an xmas tree and thought it would fit in the Audi. It didn't lol. The 7.5ft tree fit perfectly in the sonic though.

But I would like to thank you and anyone else who has given input. I really appreciate it. I thought I was just going to rant and talk to myself lol but it is great to hear other opinions of other enthusiasts who may be going through the same situation.

Keep up with your bad a$$ self! Do what makes you happy. Age should mandate what you can and can't do with your car if feasible.

Getting some winter tires put on finally. Went with Continental Extreme Winter Contact 205 50 17. Mounting them on my RS wheels. Not looking forward to winter mode but it is necessary
