Bummer on your lack of service from GM

As for mileage I can get ~40mpg in warmer temps by just accelerating gently. Shifting before 2K RPM most of the time. Driving 65mph most of the time, ocassionally going faster or slower. And idleing only breifly.

Winter I'm getting 35ish MPG with the same driving and a lot more ideling (worst of 29mpg, best of 41mpg this winter).

I hope your able to get your sonic working corrected soon

Yeah, I'm getting nowhere near what you're getting. I understand that its cold here right now, and maybe I'll get 45-50 this summer, but I would think it should be at least 35 right now...

I honestly doubt I'll get it corrected anytime soon. The stick is "normal" (they had me take a new one for a drive that did the same thing so they said that's stock, tough luck) and the gas mileage they say is my fault even though I'll drive gentle. I've got a video of me resetting the average while cruising already on the highway doing 75, and it only gets 28.5-29 mpg per the onboard computer. But its my fault since its obviously me over-revving the car. :blankface:

no I have the Budget tune, almost no exhaust and the shifter bushings. the best thing you can do for your MPG is to learn and practice hypermiling.

you're trying to say you're a victim, and we're trying to say slow down. try the same reset test at 60 and let us know what you find. the, assumingly hilly, country roads are killing you because you aren't driving the hills right.

Reset and do 50 mph even better my 1.8 auto gets 55mpg and higher if the road is flat.

My 1.8 gets best if I do 23-25% throttle passion (ug) and keep it around 60
