Menu button not opening DIC

2013 Chevy Sonic LTZ.

I can't open my DIC with the menu button to clear my code 82. The blinker, res/clr button, and the band all are working. It's only the menu button that is not. Is this just a mechanical issue?

The car has to be in park

I've had this car 5 years and this is the first time it hasn't worked for me. The Menu button won't do anything in park, in drive, or with the key turned to 'on' without turning over the engine.

It's a new issue, I cleared a code 82 just a few months ago.
