I ordered genuine GM splash guards they identify as being for the 2012 and 2013 Sonic. $80 for all 4. I don't think they are listed to fit the Aveo which should explain why some people are buying guards for their Sonic and then having to trim them to make fit on the front. Hopefully these will be nothing more than bolt on.
Genuine GM Splash Guards
$80 netted 4 genuine GM splash guards with the correct factory hardware. Holding them up to my 2013 Sonic hatch they all look like they fit perfectly without any cutting/trimming/grinding some of you are having to do.
It's another case of me not understanding why people try to go cheap when going "right" was only $80. It's worth the extra $40 to me for the time savings and the look of a perfect factory fit. I'm supposed to get on a friend's lift today so I can install them.

it made it easier when i pulled the rear wheels off.
i have a nice ratcheting screwdriver with all the bits on it. so the torx bit thats needed for the factory unit was super easy to take off when the tire was not in the way.
im sure if you have a long enough screw driver you can just angle it in to take off the inside bolt.

It took 15 minutes on my friend's lift to install the factory splash guards and we didn't remove any of the wheels. We just turned the front ones and a short Torx bit at the rear. We used all of the stock locations and hardware. We optionally drilled in one spot on each of the front guards to install a supplied plastic locking plug between the splash guard and the plastic inner fender. They fit perfect but I agree they could be a bit too short and narrow. They look good and fit perfect and the install was painless.

Well I couldn't pass up on the factory guards. Was able to get a decent price at the Chevy dealer from a friends account with them. The perfect fit and having the proper hardware made my decision a very easy one.
