Any updates.

Yes. The shop replaced my intake manifold. After that the next day my coolant was leaking so I took it back and they replaced a part. My car was fine after they replaced the intake manifold.

A few issues have shown up since. My car would stall randomly and turn off. I had to scanned and so. I have replaced both my o2 sensors and that helped the check engine light that popped up. My car has been fine since.

I know something else about I’ll eventually pop up so I plan on getting an aluminum tank in the future.

My 2020 has been nothing but problems. After multiple replacements, multiple times I’ve been told the turbo is causing the engine to overheat and since the heads are aluminum it’s warping them. Over and over and over again. I still owe 20000 on this thing

Oh no. Is it under warranty? Have you checked lemon law? Are you going to the same shop to get it repaired? Something’s not right if the same problem keeps occurring.
My car is a 2014 but if my car were a 2020 I would be going to the dealership and see what they can do.

I have a 2012 Sonic LT 1.8. The air intake hose from the air cleaner to the throttle body was cracked in two places and the cause of the check engine light and rough engine issues. Easy to put on and purchased from Amazon for $16. I also replaced the mass air flow sensor and the evaporator and parts are very cheap on Amazon. No need to hire a mechanic. You can do it just go and get the you tube to show you how.
