OBD2 port missing?

I have a 2016 chevy sonic turbo LTZ. My obd2 port is missing, the bracket is there underneath the - It looks like it might have come. Who soft the bracket and the previous owner? Might have shoved it up in the -, or somewhere else Around I can't find it. Has anyone else come across this situation! I bought the product fixd is there anywhere else I can plug it into? Like the cigarette lighter, and it can read from? Or should I take the car somewhere?And have them look for the obd2 port?
