Yea but with the turbo included plus tune and labor im doing myself with buddies of mine total cost of the build is going to be $2200.00

So turbo (stock part from another platform), tune (from where???), and labor is $2200??

What about injectors, intercooler, IC piping and couplings, down pipe, mid pipe, MAP and possible MAF sensors, intake for filter, MAF housing, ect??

I sure hope your tuner knows what they are doing. Wouldnt take much to grenade this engine I dont think. What are you doing about valve springs? The 1.4 has stiffer springs and already suffers from float at higher RPM. The 1.8 has springs that probably wouldnt even be used in a Briggs engine. Maybe in the China knock off though.

This also isnt a "turbo build" its a pieced together turbo set up on a stock engine.

Labor i said i was doing myself lol. The $2200 was in parts. I have my connections. And yes the turbo is from the 1.6 but like i said before it matches with the 1.8 head. I been doing this research for 1 year non stop. Intercooler im using the stock 1.4. IC piping i have a shop here in atlanta. Couplings...i work for autozone...downpipe...trying to see if the 1.6 will work if not custom and i already have a shop on stand by. MAP and MAF sensors i have coming as well. Intake im reusing my 1.8 intake. It will work. Like i said im the one that started this thread. Aka devilsonic i just made a new profile. So i been during my research since then.

I know what the manifold/turbo is from, I have looked into it before. I also highly doubt the 1.8 oil cooler/filter housing will work with the 1.6 manifold/turbo. Assuming you dont hit the oil filter cap the 1.6 DP should fit a 1.8 in theory. I doubt a mid pipe from any of the vehicles that use the 1.6T will work though.

What are you doing for tuning? This motor likes to knock with very minor incorrect changes in the tune in NA form. Throw in some Positive Intake Manifold Pressure (P.I.M.P.) and it will only exaggerate the issue. I hope your tuner really knows what they are doing and can keep it safe. Between the pinkey finger sized rods and Bic pen valve springs I have some serious doubts about the stock parts holding up. There is a reason I have not slapped a turbo on mine. As far as I am concerned a full proper build is a must on this engine if you really want to break past the 200 WHP mark with forced induction and keep it together long term.
