How will you control boost? What is the stock wastegate set at?

Did you guys know the 1.8 aut trans is almost the same as the rs ratio wise were the closest

and you can adjust waste gate start low psi and turn it up until she blows or your content

They have spring actuated ones so it relives after so much psi builds up

Corsa VXR Stock boost pressure is set between 10-13 psi

Ya so how much do you have invested so far?

$971.00 so far and another $705.00 to go so a total of $1676.00 in parts and then about $800 for the tune so $2476.00 for the whole build.

So are you mounting the turbo right to the header?

Then the inter cooler are u piping over top the engine because thats the best way I can see the intake happening unless you see other wise

Are you running a stand alone or a piggy back ecu I know u were going to tune the stock but how would it register the boost?

Sorry about all the abrupt questions im just so anxious you know I would do it my self but it's super intimidating all that money with just a collage Job maybe if I had my career

Lol its ok --- To answer your first two questions yes. Im using the CX racing intercooler kit for the 1.4 with some additional piping i can buy thru my job. And the turbo its is fused with the headers from the vauxhall one im using

For the tune Its going to be a stand alone tune. I need to talk to Dave from Ddmworks tho to see what we r using. I myself have a couple ideas i want to run thru him first

Ok guys im still waiting for the downpipe to come in but i was wondering about some other tuning options. Couple of my friends brought up megasquirt ..i kno a lot of Mazda guys use them. Also can someone help me with the routing for the coolant lines i have the mock up oil lines routing done just need coolant.

Looks like youre making some great progress man. Im excited to see you get it all done. I myself gave up on the 1.8t concept. I have some new plans that are underwraps currently but if i can get somethin rollin itll be awesome. I have a feeling you and i both have a lot of hurdles in these cars but its nice to see you comin along well man. Good luck and ill try to help if i can

Side note. coolant lines can be tapped from just about anywhere. I would suggest purchasing an inline coolant drain. They are fitted in the large diameter portion of the lower rad hose. u basically cut through the hose then add the fitting. Its like a coupler to re fit the hoses but now it has a drain in the center. You can remove the plug and find that thread size to get a fitting for tapping into it.

To return the coolant i would suggest a 2nd fitting in the opposing hose. Or tap the bottom of the coolant resivoir. The return will pump back into the system no matter what as long as the fitting is submerged on both ends. You dont want to introduce air into the system in the wrong place.
