Having only ever come across one of these systems in the real world, I advise you to be careful. The one I came across saw its biggest gains from the modified oxygen sensor signal. Essentially they were using a false reading to cause a lean running condition.
I just got off the phone and that is exactly what we ended up talking about. To use water for fuel, you have to split the hydo from the oxy and more oxygen makes it through which cause the computer to run the engine RICH. I specifically asked him about this. Anyhow, that's what those volo things do. ...calibrate the oxygen sensors for supplemental hydrogen.
I'm hoping my trifecta map can adjust the o2 sensors.
That was a bright observation on the first issue to pop up.
