Hey everyone,
1.8L 129K miles. Car has been running great until today. I got on the highway today and try to accelerate hard from about 60 to 80 and the car wouldn't speed up and or shift. Got a blinking CEL. Let go of the acceleration and the CEL went aware.
Quickly put the OBDII reader and pull up Torque. First, I had spending code for Cylinder 1 misfire. Went to the counter and had about 150.
Continue my drive and it happened about 3 times. Everytime that the car is put under heavy acceleration. Flashing CEL. I did get a P0300 for multiple cylinder misfires. All but number 2 have misfires in the 300 to 500.
Continue my drive about 3 hours. If I accelerate slowly, the car doesn't misfire and behave normally.
I changed the coil pack about 30K miles when I got a code for it. Spark plugs have not been replaced recently and probably are due for a change. I think they about about 50K miles on them.
Any suggestions? Given that is multiple cylinders, I doubt the spark plugs are the problem. Maybe the coil pack? What else? Can a camshaft sensor be a problem? Crankshaft sensor?
