Reporting back here after getting the reflash today.
I tested most things before leaving the dealer and so far found only one issue; when pressing the phone button on the steering wheel to make a call, the MyLink screen displays the message "the devise does not support voice commands", which refers of course to my phone, whereas prior to the reflash it worked fine.
I went back into the dealer and asked that this be noted on my record in case I'm unable to resolve it. The service advisor came out to my car and verified my issue, then tried His phone and it worked. He then told me that a rep from the company that manages the infotainment system are in the dealer every Wednesday and Friday, and asked if I could bring my car in tomorrow so that rep can hopefully resolve it. He said that rep is a wiz with this stuff.
Also, while the service advisor was testing his own phone, which as I said did not have the above mentioned issue, he noticed that the voice prompt from MyLink was so faint that we could barely hear it and was unintelligible. I told him it's been like that since new, but since I knew that it's prompting me for a command I just voice the contact name and the call continues through, so I never concerned myself about that minor detail. He then said that's not the way it should work, that it should clearly vocalize the prompt to the vehicle occupants. So he plans to have that rep look into rectifying both issues.
Do any other folks here notice the prompt to be barely audible when pressing the steering wheel button?
Anyway, I must say the customer service at this dealer (Boyer Chevrolet, Lindsay) is outstanding; the best I've ever experienced in almost 40 years of driving.
I'll report back again after tomorrow.
Right here! Although my issue seems minor to most (so far
).
Well if I have the same issue, I'll probably never notice because I rarely listen to the radio. Hope you get it sorted out though.
