Ah, see THAT is a vehicle that will get your license suspended. And with that kind of perspective the RS and ST seem ittle more than a step up from plastic pedal cars.

LOL Yes I had My days with the GN! I kept mine stock I was the second owner and it was a show vehicle with 22k miles. Owned it for 4 years and sold it in 2006. But also had fun assisting a good friend of mine upgrading his GN. Those were the days!

The ST will have a few more horses than the GN in a very light vehicle. That is a mix for extreme Fun at the track!

Do you really think the rs is worth the extra money considering just getting the lt with a decent tune?

Sonic RS has one on order so I suspect he thinks it worth it.

I have not ordered but may. As some readers may be aware, I am contemplating waiting for an additional color to be added to the palette.

Only the potential buyer can determine if the RS is "worth it." As I recall, there are some who contend the Sonic itself is overpriced and currently there are sites with polls where responders can vote if they think the RS is overpriced or not.

A stock intercooled Grand National made 235hp. You need to make 435hp before the power to weight gets down to 8:1.

Does the number "5857" mean anything to you?

This thread isn't about the GN, I know, just wanted reference.

rwhp depends on the year. A stock 87 will pull 260RWHP - HP went up over the years and of course GM was understating HP to save insurance costs for drivers.


The power:weight difference between a GN @ 260rwhp&3400lbs vs Sonic @155rwhp&2800lbs is pretty big.

I tend to be hard headed and obstinate. On the other hand I tend to be a pragmatist. You may well, and most likely are, correct. No new colors for me to try to puzzle out.

Yes the new color!! Well Gm had some extra paint from the Cruze run but not enough for the 2013 model year...Mmmmm, Well I guess we can put it on the Sonic and Charge $195 more and take the standard black away.... HEHEHE Marketing! BRILLIANT
