I'll bet there are quite a few Cobalt/HHR and Sky/Solstice guys out there, with tunes, who think DI is just dandy.

Could you elaborate? Trifecta has produced some very good results in di engines, altho they do need an oil catchcan for longevity.

So, can you run the 5th injector on a stock or just tuned motor?
At the same time though i feel like theres a lot of potential in this little 1.4 that is going to go unattended if they come out with a bigger engine. Maybe ill just keep the rs and try to make a name for the little motor...
I am curious to see what kind of power the fiesta st makes with a tune...
I honestly don't see that as an issue...it is what...another 1-2 years before the 1.6l DI Turbo will actually hit the streets? That's plenty of time for people to invest more into the 1.4.
On top of that, you have to figure that if GM does actually charge $25k+ for the 1.6 DI that they aren't going to be selling very many of them overall. So the market for that engine will not be as large as the 1.4. The 1.4 won't be in jeopardy at all. That is unless the 1.6 DI is put into all of the cars as the turbo upgrade to replace the 1.4 (doubtful as the cost would be too high and the 1.4 is for mileage where as the 1.6 won't be).
I'd buy that
Yes the gasoline powered version will. GM announced in August it would go into the Sonic in two years. The same announcement said it would not go into the Cruze, much to the dismay of some Cruze fans.
That announcement began speculation about a Sonic wearing the SS emblem as it rolled off the final assembly line.

The Buick Verano has a 2.0L Ecotec® 250hp 4-cylinder turbocharged engine this year..I wonder if they will use this in the Cruze or the Sonic.
