Scratches On Radio Screen

I was cleaning my sonic the other day and accidentally rubbed the end of the vacuum tube up against the radio screen and ended up scratching it (this thing gets scratched really easily, I want to put on some kind of film to prevent that) but anyway I want to remove the scratch but don't know how, any ideas?

Fine sandpaper and rubbing compound... ? Sand the scratch down smooth with the sandpaper (1500 grit at minimum, 2000 or 2500 would be better) and then rub it with the compound on a soft rag to get rid of the sandpaper scratches. If it's not too deep then you might just try rubbing compound on it without sanding it.

Nothing a 5lb hammer and a crowbar won't take care of.

Seriously though, I don't know if it it will come out without damaging the stereo or the fascia of the dashboard...
