As the video shows, the rubber seals/gaskets inside the oil cooler can deteriorate with age, which allows engine oil to mix in with coolant and contaminate the cooling system, creating a coffee-coloured sludgy mess.
My question is, is this issue common to the 1.4L Turbo or 1.8L engines, or uncommon?
Has anyone had their oil cooler fail, or is it pretty much trouble-free?
I would like to determine if this is something I should keep a close eye on.
