So your concern is whether the DDM hurts mpg by bringing in colder air? If it's similar to the 1.4T's setup, I don't think it actually does that, it's bringing in engine compartment air, while the SAB breathes thru the fender. The heat shield means colder air than ZZP and significantly colder than the Injen which runs over the engine itself... but I would think still no cooler than the SAB.
