We will see. They may burn out quick, but at 30/pair I'll be happy to get 6 months before one goes out.

I did buy some Silverstar Ultras for almost $50 a week ago, but they couldn't even compete with the white fogs. It wasn't a good enough match for me.

Agreed, the Silverstar do not last for huge periods either.

Their colors and brightness vary and I find that annoying. I bought some of their "brighter" brake lights over a year ago. Had one section their regular build and the other the brighter. It was just noticeable. Not worth double the price.

What I have experienced is Phillips makes some great OEM lights if you can find them. They last a long time and look good.

I found that out the hard way too. The Sonic assemblies aren't glued together, the plastic is fuse welded together.This time I cut the assembly apart with a rotary disc on a dremel.

I am doing it on a pair of brand new ones I got from GMPD. Shortly after I started I found another left light assembly on eBay for super cheap and I ordered that one as well. When this is over I'll have a total of 4 left tail lights. hahaha

I also found a passenger headlight for cheap and bought that for an experimental project. I plan to open it up and remove the amber reflector.

This laptop will be a strictly tune and Datalog machine. I have a MacBook, iPad and iPhone for everything else I like to do.

I would love to figure out how to wipe everything else off this PC, so it just has a browser, EZ flash, and a tune and log folder.

How hard is that to do......... for a low tech guy like myself?opcorn:

Get a version on windows xp or windows 7 lite. They are slimmed down to nothing but drivers.

So then what needs to change? Just the way you launch or is there some other way to safeguard the transmission?

I believe a call to that link I posted about shafts and gears may be in order. Take picks of what blew out. I would bet a few items will show signs of stress.

Going with 15 or 16 inch wheels might help.
