They may shave even more off than that, between weight savings and reduction in rolling resistance.
It's not in the cards for me though. My build is geared towards street car performance. However I will take the approach of raising the rear tire pressure and not going so low in the front. I think 18psi was a little low, even for my 40 wall BFGs.
Also, when my funds recover from my turbo swap, I plan to go with lighter forged TSW wheels for track days. But I intend to race with the same equipment that carries my car the hundred miles to the speedway. Just tire pressure and suspension adjustments in the pits.
I hope to go once more before the turbo swap. My last trip had multiple issues. Boost leak from missing seal in BOV. Faulty Chinese injectors. And late shifts due to the lag on the stock tach. All of those issues have been corrected, and I'm confident my ETs should improve..... Even if only a little.
