Ultragauge and ScanGauge Thread

I wonder if your "smart low threshold" is set too low. I have been reading through the manual (my UG should be here Wednesday) and noticed that setting and thought I would share the finding. Hope it helps .

I noticed when i need to fill up that the UG gas gauge is off by like 1.3 gallons so when i fill up tomorrow ill post a reading and the correct numbers

So when i filled up and the ultragauge was set to 12.2 it had an extra .868 so i reset the gauge to 11.3 and we will c how that goes.

Odd. My gauge seems to be quite accurate. I think it's odd because the Ultragauge is just spitting out the numbers that your car gives it.

I got a chance to test out my UG last night. This thing is great, especially for the price! I have mine setup as Instant mpg, AVG mpg, Boost psi, Engine Temp, Fuel % and Torque 1 (I think). I still need to do the calibration but even without it it is really close to the avg mpg my Sonic reports. Now to find the perfect mounting place....

Honestly, I dont know. I will have to take another peek at the manual and see what it says. I havent even have a change to put both of then into a single gauge to see how the readings differ. Good question!

I seem to recall one is calculated from the input peak torque and % engine load and number 2 was calculated from engine parameters and would be more accurate if the peak torque was unknown (say you modified the engine for more powar!) One is more accurate stock, and two more accurate if the peak torque is unknown.

Here is my install. I had it on my windshield to test it out at first but figured I should move it. If it's attached to your windshield here in Flint it might now be after you leave it unattended for 30 minutes in a parking lot . Great unit!

Looks. ;P I bought an L bracket and Velcro strips. I used the velcro for the gauge to the bracket. then glued the bracket to my column.

Mine? Yeah! I used the supplied window mount that came with the UG and actually attached it to the side of the storage bin. It makes adjusting the height of it easy! Now I just toss my work badge in the storage bin on the right side of the radio.

My UG didn't come with a manual, is that typical?
Also the Boost PSI shows negative psi most the time, and doesn't get above 5 even during higher rev's (am not tuned yet).
Normal???
