Ultragauge (or alternative) OEM-esque install

Yay! I got my Ultra-Gauge today. Now it's play time.

I followed the set-up to get the $9 rebate, anyone know what they do with all those codes that you have to fill in?
Also, the SONIC is not on the Chevy model list but they have the SPARK there. WTF?

Please post up your gauge page lists. I just set-up two pages so far and will tweak as I go. I'm most interested in BOOST, ignition advance, coolant temp. The torque and hp, while not absolutely accurate, will be fun to watch. My second page has MPG type info and Catalytic converter temp. I'll see how HOT it gets tomorrow

I think you are a day or two ahead of me. I am supposed to get mine tomorrow. I'm going to be looking for hypermiling info from my gauge, so I'm still trying to figure out what I need. I definitely will be having instantaneous mileage, engine temp, and think that load will be something I need to watch. It will be great to know when it's warm and happy. I'm going to need to do more Googling Hey, will the suction cup work in the left side cubby hole like the phone DIY that was on the right side? And does RockTheShazbot's position view get blocked by the steering wheel?.... random thoughts going through my brain this week. Spark, that's too funny.

OK. I got my gauge today. How fun to sit in the cold garage and punch the menus until you feel like a total ubergeek.

The process to get the thing running is actually easier than the rebate. I spent more time printing and scanning forms than actually setting up the device for my first run. It's really neat that it's so customizable and you can "peek under the hood" at exactly what you want to see through the numbers.

I'm a little vague as to which power mode to use, as the default mode lets it stay on for awhile. Kind of disconcerting. But right off, it's a cool device and will be fun to continue tweaking. My first gauges:
Instantaneous MPG, Engine load, Timing Advance, Battery Voltage, Engine Coolant Temp, Instantaneous Gallons/Hour. Very Impressed.

i like the gauge... a few things is when i show the tps it only goes to 70.4% is that for real or does it need to be calabrated..

I can see mounting it like RockTheShazbot since i would have to move stearing wheel down or seat up..... i like to left of tach with the suction cup arm.... also anyone know how to set up the HP or is it accurate???

It is pretty damn cool and i nee to figure out that rebate since sonic is not on list hell chevy was not on my list....

I just selected <other> from the model list and a text box came up, so typed in
"Sonic Hatch LT". Who knows?!?

Those don't matter anyway, they are just calculations by the ECM. You want to know WHEEL HP/TQ, not crank.

That looks nice, is it easy to read through the steering wheel as it seems in the pic. It looks like hes using a cell phone mount in the cubby hole, i could be wrong though.

Then to either BoG233 or Thaifight-R, are you using a cell phone mount, and if so, can you point us to it on the web, any certain type? And can you still access the back buttons OK?
