The backseat back came out while I was moving it to see how well it would go down. It's a cheap car made with poor materials. I'm going back to take a second test drive to see if it's any different. Maybe the workers need to make $25.00 an hour to produce a better car.
That's the problem with GM now, and the rest of Detroit for that matter. Parasitic union thugs have made workers feel they deserve outrageous salaries and pensions, which, considering the low profit margins on autos, are bankrupting GM. Between the government and union socialists, they have all but completely ruined a once thriving, beautiful, shining American city and driven it's main means of popularity and support, the American automobile industry, into the ground. I mean, the American taxpayer have been forced to bail GM out not once, but twice in the last two years, for possibly billions of dollars... Who knows the real cost. We've yet to be reimbursed, and may never see a return.
I don't blame workers for wanting the best salaries they can get... they have families to support. But I do blame disingenuous UAW thugs, gangsters and, in my opinion, anti-American socialist criminals for giving workers unrealistic expectations. UAW and AFL/CIO thugs hold both automakers and workers hostage to their insatiable demand for more and more dollars from the pockets of those who actually earn those funds.
Union workers either cannot, or refuse to see the truth of what's going on. The UAW bosses and AFL/CIO executives hold conventions and stay in $1000.00- $1500.00 a night exclusive hotels while the workers they claim to care so much for are lucky to afford a measly Motel 6 with a bed who's sheets have been changed after the last two visitors.
Times are changing. If GM and their workers don't wake up they may not have any factories left to work in... that is after union and labor bosses get finished with them.
There are people in this country, and I'm darned sure in Detroit, who would drool over $15.00 an hour jobs right about now. Workers should compromise with GM by accepting less salary in exchange for not paying union dues and throwing those UAW bosses and AFL/CIO thugs right out on their parasitic @$$3s, once and for all. Union thugs do absolutely nothing to earn the extensive salaries they pay themselves on the backs of the worker, for making deals which will ultimately screw and, as a matter of a fact, have already screwed workers and almost annihilated a once beautiful and prosperous Detroit Michigan.
Between the leftist idiots who have been running Detroit (into the ground) for the past thirty+ years and union/labor parasites, any person with a minute measure of insight would agree they all need to be placed on trial for extortion, racketeering and a host of other crimes against the American auto worker, and other blue collar workers in general for that matter.
Furthermore, no one is entitled to anything except what they work for. If workers except a certain wage, then they should do the very best job they can. If they aren't getting paid enough, no one's twisting their arms to work there. This idea of doing a so-so job under any circumstance is BS. It's not as if we live under communist rule where workers are forced to work for low wages or face imprisonment. At least, we're not there yet! Leave it to the unions and current like-minded government scoundrels however, we are rapidly heading there.
GM should be making a good, quality product, regardless!
Throw the flippin' UAW and labor unions out on their fat, lazy scheming butts, and GM, workers, get back to doing what you do best... building the world's BEST products!
