Did you tint the strip above the rear license plate or is that factory?

Yeah I got started on my tinting project yesterday. I was going to finish today if they couldn't get me in for tint. I'll finish up later this week. Can you tell the door strips are tinted as well? I'm so in love with the "black chrome" look.

This is what I like to hear. I'm going for a classy look that turns heads, but still to a certain personality. She is my dark side and I can't wait to fully bring her to life.
Also, my ultragauge is on its way, and I have gotten some good news from ZZP regarding my exhaust :banana:

What's the status on the tune? I know you love your RS so much already, I can't wait to hear your reaction to the tune.

I AM in love and I can't wait for my cable to get here. Everything is ordered except exhaust (because RS) and I can barely contain myself!! I have another idea related to the tune that I think some will love, some will hate, but that'll be revealed once its relevant. And after my next service lol.
I keep the status up to date on everything on my list on the OP, as well in case you get curious in the future

As it turns out the front bowtie on the RS IS bigger than other Sonics. So I'll be waiting for my new one in the mail. In the meantime, I used the too-small one to cover the steering wheel bowtie.
Nice work! Your sonic is coming right along. Looking good. I did my steering wheel bowtie as well, but with mine i also covered the chrome border because i got tired of it blinding me when the sun shined on it lol.
The tint looks great. Gives the car a nice stealth look. The Stripes should look great once you get the chance to install them.

I've heard many people have experienced the chrome blinding from the steering wheel emblem. It's never happened to me...... but I just thought back through the list of victims and IIRC they were all sedans. Kind of makes sense when you compare the difference in rear windows.

I dont know what the rear window has to do with it as its always was from when the sun hit it through the front windshield or Front side windows.
But here is what i did with mine and what i did with my shifter to give it a different look and help flow it into my theme i have going on. No more getting blinded from the sun and makes it look better.

Still working on the black chrome... Front moved in early and shut me down. Can you see the difference? The upper trim ring is done completely, and the lower portion of the lower one is done. I also have all the way around my driver's side fog done, but not the other one..LOL. Getting some winter weather and she's gonna have a black eye for a few days..
I'm thinking about leaving the chrome around the bowties bright, and I'm still waiting for my CF front one.

I love the look of the smoked chrome from the tint. I have been thinking about doing that because i wanted to stay away from plastidip, but know I will definitely have to do it once it stays warm more consistently. I will probably even tint the chrome on my steering wheel. I have a sedan and have been blinded bad from the wheel. My windows have been tinted for a while now, but if i want to go windows down I'm risking it still. I love the way the chrome strip on your hatch looks tinted. That stupid piece is what i hate the most on mine. Why so much chrome all over theses cars? I prefer that body color to blend in. Car looks great, keep up the good work!
