Changed the tranny fluid. The royal purple max gear was causing resistance going into gear when cold, swapped the new (we dare not speak it's name) oil and is buttery smooth and easily slides into gear.

New tires.
I had a stupid accident the other day on a curb/hole. My front right side wheel got scraped and the tire sidewall got sliced…was able to make it home.
I've been wanting to replace those tires..both front tires have had two nails each and then with that sliced sidewall I couldn't take it anymore! I can live with a scraped wheel but not a sliced sidewall haha
I headed over to the tire shop and got two new Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires. The rear stock hankooks are still in great condition so I couldn't get myself to replace all four tires so just got two. Hankooks moved to the front and new Pirelli's in the rear of course

The old Sonic had its oil and tranny fluid changed, dropped in some new spark plugs and replaced the cabin filter. Also put a new registration tag on the plates. She'll get a bath tomorrow.

6 months later... 2k on the ODO.
Wow keeping the mirage down. I do that in a month easy.

Its been a fun couple of days, I attempted to Plasti-Dip some stripes onto my bonnet which failed horribly the first time and I didn't mask off my car properly and got over spray on everything. I then Proceeded to buy some glue remover to get rid of the over spray, which worked great but I forget to read the label and it destroyed the pain on my side mirrors and grills on my bumper. I then re sprayed the plastic on my side mirrors. The next day I decided to try the stripes again, I got some better masking tape for the job and watched a bunch more videos on you tube they turned out okay, but not as good as I would have liked, next time I think I will need to do a base coat because there is still a bit of the black showing through. Then I went about repairing the grills on my bumper which had turned to a light grey from the glue remover and re colored my headlight surrounds. I've attached some pics.
