Also not today but a few days ago the weather was decent enough to perform my first oil change
Helps to have the right tools
Originally I bought these for European cars when I still worked on cars
This motor uses a different filter housing than the original ecotec 2.2 that originally came in the cavalier and cobalt but the 24mm ecotec socket and a wobble extension work wonders
The oil change would have been otherwise uneventful except I got under the car to remove the belly pan and found this
No bellypan I find this odd Bc I bought the car with 68 miles on it and this should be its first oil change. Only explanation I can come up with is this car was bought from another dealership that was going out of business by the dealer I bought it from. Maybe the car sat on the previous dealers lot for a while it is a 2015 bought near the end of 2016 and the new dealer changed the oil and just didn't put the bellypan back on. Oh well is what it is, just very peculiar
Otherwise an uneventful oil change at 3400 miles
