Pre-winter detail today... Wash, claybar, wax (and a bird crapped on it in the middle,) and a thorough interior/trunk/underhood detail. Touched up her first rock chips. She's a beauty now.
Oh, and topped up the Dexcool for the eleventeenth time. I really need to get that looked at.

The dome light doesn't fit (too small in length). But like I said, well worth the price and I never use dome anyways so whatever.
Today I got presents...ZZP Muffler (replacing my muffler delete), HID's, Lamin-X film tint for rear tail lights, bug deflector. Still waiting on headers, new wheels (i know I just got some lol), downpipe, tune cable, some vinyl wrap (carbon fiber), and my intake. Should be in tomorrow.
Did that kit come with a truck bulb as well?

I have a buddy with a Cruze Eco. I am going to measure the opening for his radiator and leave just a little more room on the one I make for the lower grill opening.
I ran into issues last winter where the coolant temp would drop at highway speeds. On the stock tune it would slowly drop to about 190. Blocked off the upper grill and it would stay around 212 on the highway. City driving would see coolant temps in the 215-220 range, as they are supposed to be.

installed the ddm throttle spacer finally..
it was a pain to install.. but only because of the little space sonics give you to work on stuff.. and my big hands don't help..
just have to reflash my w/m tune and i am good.

Finally decided to go buy some armorall shield stuff (plastidip) and cover this tacky chrome on the side windows. I don't mind the chrome around the lights or grille, or even the bowties. but for some reason i really hate the side window chrome it's just out of place and looks odd.
Took care of this yesterday, but started my winter prep.
I liked it, so I stole it.
Yeah, it's a little dark outside.
I had some acrylic sheet left over from a diy roof rack fairing. Sprayed the back with plastidip (I will use krylon when it warms enough to paint) and ran some door trim molding around the edges.
I love the acrylic, and it makes a real nice finished product, but it is kind of a pain to shape. You can score it and break it on a straight line, but cutting it is a bitch. It just melts and gums up your tools.
Here's what the fairing like a looks like in the sunlight (before I added the molding).
Looking forward to what you can come up with for the lower grille. I might try to put something together this week, but I don't know if I'll have time.
