Window Tint

Got tint installed on my car today. Got 35% on the four windows and the rear window. Found out I couldn't add any tint to the front window below the factory line or the car would be illegal in NC. note: the darkness may look skewed in the pictures because I have the sun visor in my front window.

That looks awesome PapaSmurf. I used to live in AZ and the tint law was like California where you could have limo on the rear windows. I was a necessity when living in the desert...lol

I have a question about tint. I know that you are supposed to wait a while for all the bubbles in the tint to settle. Its almost been a week now and I still have tiny bubbles on each window. I could understand if there were just one bubble on one of the windows, but each window has bubbles now. Should I take it back for them to redo?

A quality install shouldn't have bubbles to begin with.

I had them redo my tint to get the bubbles. Out looks like they did a better job this time.

Does the Sedan have an extra window that the hatch is missing?

I did mine darker than legal, but then again, I have a black car in the Arizona desert.

howdi neighbor im thinking about doing 35/20/20 think thats gonna be enough here in the desert?

i did 35/3/3 and its still not good enough for the desert. the back 3 windows are considered limo.

Thanks, for a daily driver for the wife I think 35/20/20 is gonna be ok I think we had 35 all around on the last car and it wasnt too bad

If 35/3/3 isn't enough you need to go electrochromic.
(It won't do anything while driving, but it will be opaque white while the car is off. )

I'm at least considering it - wish it came in another color than white though.

I always prefer to have the defroster lines removed before tinting. It looks way cleaner.

I agree it looks cleaner, but there is hardly anything that annoys me more than a window that isn't perfectly clean. VTEC fanboys and fart cans are about the only thing worse.

Looks pretty good, Red Sonic. Easy on the shadow/highlights tool in photoshop, though.

35% on the driver and passenger door and 15% the rest of the way for me. No pics yet though.

Thanks, and I don't use photoshop, it's a iPhone pic with a camera app using the HDR filter. Here's what they look like without the added effect.
