Windshield wiper problem

Got some Trico Force wipers for my sonic a couple months back, about an inch larger on each blade. I've noticed on the larger blade that it "flutters" at speeds over 60 mph on the upstroke. Could this be due to the spring in the wiper arm not putting enough tension on the larger blade? Has anyone else had this issue with switching to larger wipers?

Interested in this as well. I am a big fan of the Rain-X Latitude blades, but the smallest they make is a 16", so I haven't purchased them yet for the Sonic. I was going to do a 26" and a 16". Think this would work?

Mine does the same thing. If I'm on the highway it actually starts to lift and not get all the rain off. Idk if its normal or not. If so is there a way to fix it

Mine did that too.. so I took them back because it got to where it would not work at all wiping my window while on the parkway

Did anyone have problems with a larger blade on the passenger side? That is what I am more concerned about because I am fine with using the stock size for the driver side.

The user Bogus on here used a 16 on fhe passenger side and it was 2 big and hitting the side of the car

yeah I tried a 16" on passenger side and it hit the side - still have the original OEM wiper on passenger 1 year later.

I put on Rain-X latitude driver side. Kept the same size, however I'm posting this for you because I've had the issue where at the bottom of the upstroke, there's a section of the windshield that's not completely cleaned. It doesn't bother me because it's fairly small and not in my line of view and doesn't hinder visibility.

Also - the 16" Rain X latitudes will NOT fit the Sonic. That's exactly what I did and had to return it because the mounting adapter that comes with the 26" blade does NOT come with the 16" blade. That's also why there's not a single wiper blade listed for the Sonic's passenger side in the auto parts catalog when I was there (2 weeks ago).

I had that same issue with the rain x 16 even tho it clearly stated on the box fits I&l set up. No adapter. Until.... found one buried in the last box. Guess other I&l owners are swiping adapters.

Got mine on but 16 is too big. Barely. Just hits side of car causing a slight skip. luckily this isn't in my line of sight. Kept the oem wipers in case I find refills for the rubber.

OEM blades are really good I don't understand why you would change them.

changed mine because I had them for over a year, the rubber was cracked and they began to only smear. Could not see out. Didn't feel like paying the dealer 50-60 bucks when all my other cars I could replace for around 15. Rain X cost me 30 but that was still the cheaper option.

I'm still on the original wipers, going to be 2 years on Halloween and 11,500 miles.
They are still pretty good, Driver's side streaks Sometimes, but not often enough for me to worry.

But I also take good care of my wipers, I wipe off the blade every time I wash the car to get any dirt and oils off and I armor-all them every time I do the rest of the car

My driver side stock blade cracked as well. It gets hot out here in the summer and fine rubber doesn't do well in such heat.

Must be nice to have low miles. Lol. Feb will be 2yrs for me and I'm currently at 32k miles. Just put the replacements on 2 weeks ago. I've also taken care of my wipers but this Florida sunshine along with the salty air will eventually year up all rubber products.

Plus taking account for nearly daily use. Seems like no matter how sunny it is always around 4pm it starts raining.

I have the originals on mine at a whopping 41,500 miles.

starting to get some minor streaking, i will most likely have to replace them sometime before the snow starts flying here in Northern Ohio.

So this morning my windows were frosty. I scraped them off , lifted the wipers off the glass and headed out on the road. I turned on the wipers and it looked like the drivers side wiper snapped in half. I continued driving and sure enough the whole thing went flying off the car. Has this happened to anyone else?

91,000 on mine and still with the stock wiper blade on the passenger side.

Bought a cheap blade this morning but I've yet to try to install it. The d.s. has been replaced twice already over the years, but I've never got around to doing the p.s. Just mounted a GoPro today for a dash cam, so it's time to put a new p.s. blade on to eliminate the streaking.

Trico makes the OE blade for GM.

Part #'s for the ACDelco blades (available from any ACDelco warehouse distributor instead of the dealer - I work for one):

Rear - 8-22413

Passenger side - 8-9915S

Driver side - 8-992613

Trico's Neoform blades are top of the line - the #'s for them are:

Passenger - 16-1515

Driver - 16-2613

Currently the rear blade is only available for the dealer or an ACDelco warehouse.
